Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 09.00 - 17.00
Wednesday: 09.00 - 18.00
Friday: 09.00 - 13.00
Please note that there may be changes during the semester break.
As a library at the Department of Classics it offers students and external users the opportunity to conduct literature research on site at several locations. Study places, lockers, PCs and scanners are available at each of the locations. With a few exceptions, publications can be borrowed over the weekend.

Weekend borrowing: Friday from 09.00 am to Monday 12.00 am
14 days: BA, MA students and doctoral candidates
Publications can be borrowed and returned in the respective department at the library supervisor's desk.

EXCLUDED FROM LENDING
Encyclopedias/reference works, handbooks, dictionaries, journals, before 1900 and publications from the semester reference collections are excluded from lending and CANNOT be borrowed.
We also reserve the right not to lend works that do not fall into this group without giving reasons.
General Conditions of Use of the Departments Library of Classics
It is not permitted to bring jackets, bags and/or rucksacks to the libraries of Ancient History and Classical Philology. Please use the lockers in the corridor.
Please note that eating and drinking is not permitted in the library rooms.
Reference library
Borrowing is possible for students of Classical Studies over the weekend from Friday (from 09:00) to Monday (until 12:00) unless special regulations apply.
We ask library users not to return books to the shelves without authorization. Please use the respective return shelves in the subject libraries and report this at the entrance to the department rooms.
By borrowing books from the library, you agree to the GDPR. Further information is also available on site.
Student handsets
can be deposited separately on the work tables in the library rooms for a period of 2 weeks. Please observe the regulations on site (borrowing card, deputy)
